BOXMATE™

Complete Boxing Optimization and Shipping Documentation

BOXMATE™ is a computer system designed to assist in the preparation and maintenance of glass boxing schedules. The system includes tasks that permit the entry, modification and tracking of boxing schedules, along with a variety of reports to manage the production, sorting and packing of the required boxes.

BOXMATE™ considers all of the components of an order or a number of orders for the same customer and, based on a set of pre-determined limitations of size and weight, automatically creates boxing schedules and also produces reports which aid in managing, production, sorting, and packing of the required boxes.

BOXMATE™ groups boxing requirements into schedules. A single box schedule may contain up to five different orders, each with up to 99 separate line items. Since all of the order information comes directly from the OPTIMATE™ Order Files, there is no chance for errors in piece dimensions and/or material compositions.

BOXMATE's Schedule Maintenance task provides the capability of creating a new boxing schedule, modifying an existing schedule (e.g. adding boxes, removing boxes, altering the contents of a box, etc.), removing obsolete or unneeded schedules or displaying the contents of a particular schedule. The creation of schedules can either be done manually or automatically. The automatic process takes into account your customer's specific boxing requirements, such as by floor or mark.

BOXMATE™ is parameter driven, allowing you to define the types of packing material you use and establish size and weight restrictions for boxes.

BOXMATE™ generates a wide range of reports that reduces clerical efforts and improves plant productivity.

The Box Shop Order Report provides summary information detailing the size and due dates of boxes required for a selected schedule or range of schedules.

The Packing Report provides a page for each box in a schedule, listing the order- items, quantity, orientation and packing material required by the shipping department to load the boxes. Room is provided on the report to record any differences in quantity between what should have been, and what actually was loaded.

The Packing List provides a master listing of the individual items within a specific schedule, listing box numbers, order-items, quantity, thickness and composition of the pieces and customer purchase order number. Room is provided to record the date and Bill of Lading Number for the schedule.

The Master Schedule Report lists the boxes, their sizes, contents, dimensions and weights for a specific schedule or range of schedules and may be sorted either by schedule number or due date.
