FRIEDMAN CORPORATION ANNOUNCES ITS ACQUISITION OF PMC SOFTWARE, INC.
Deerfield, IL – September 28, 2009. On September 28, 2009, Friedman Corporation acquired PMC Software, Inc., the provider of specialized software solutions for flat glass and fenestration industries.
According to PMC President and founder, Paul Christian, “We are very pleased to have PMC become an integral part of the Friedman solutions offerings. Glass and window fabrication is a very specialized trade that requires not only specialized tools, processes, and software, it also requires a strong focused solution provider that can address requirements in an integrated manner along the whole value chain. We see our acquisition by Friedman as being a major step in that direction—one that will bring more value to glass and window manufacturers.”
Friedman CFO, Eric Herrmann adds, “We are very excited to bring another window industry software company into the Friedman family. The acquisition of PMC reflects our commitment to being a leader in providing a full range of solutions to the fenestration industry. PMC brings a broad set of specialized products that are integral to glass and fenestration production. The products are highly complementary to Friedman’s ERP offerings, Frontier™ and Winsys™ and they will extend our functional footprint and enhance value-add to customers. We are looking forward to working with the highly experienced and expert team at PMC.”
