SHIPMATE™

Truck Scheduling And Load Validation

SHIPMATE™ is a tracking integrated computer system designed to mark and report the status of shipped and late items, containing insulated glass units and monolithic orders.

SHIPMATE™ streamlines the shipping operation at your facility to help you meet two of your major goals - shipping an order on time and shipping it complete.  SHIPMATE™ provides the information needed to put an end to missed shipping dates and incomplete orders, letting you know instantly if there is a problem with an order.

The Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) Preparation module provides your business system with notification of items that have shipped while marking and tracking late items.  As items are shipped, shipping information is uploaded to the business system to notify the customer of items being shipped so they may prepare for receipt of the shipment.  Late items are tagged as such and are then filtered out of the data being passed to the business system but not lost from tracking.  Customers are advised of just those items that are about to be shipped.

Late items are retained in the system and placed in "late boxes" for shipping at a later date.  Items that are not ready for shipping are moved into late boxes from the ASN Preparation screen.

It might be necessary to make changes to these late items before shipping, as changes in the order occur.  Late Item Boxing provides a way to perform maintenance on items in a late box, such as adding a new item to a late box, changing the quantity of the item being shipped, deleting an existing item from a late box, that will not ship, creating a new (empty) late box, or deleting shipped late boxes from the system.

SHIPMATE™ provides two Reports - the Shipping Pick List and the Late Report.  These reports provide invaluable information to your plant personnel about items that are about to be shipped and about late items.

The Shipping Pick List report is printed for a range of due dates, and a separate sheet is printed for each Due Date / Customer combination.  Each group sorts by drop location and within drop by schedule / box.  Additional information lets the shipping foreman know the order the boxes will be loaded on the truck, so the fork truck driver knows the order to retrieve the boxes.  Only un-shipped boxes appear on the report.

The Late Report lists only items that are "short", where "short" means the tracked quantity at shipping is less than the quantity required.  The information is sorted by Due Date, within Due Date by Customer, and within Customer by Order-Item.  Subtotals are provided for each customer for a particular due date, for each due date, and a total of short items is also provided.
